背景资料

该细胞来源于一名男性患者,年龄种族不明,一种罕见的头颈部肿瘤建系的头颈部鳞状细胞癌(HNSCC)细胞系。以具有鳞状分化的坚硬浸润性肿瘤为特征,起源于粘膜上皮,最常见于舌、口底或牙龈,但也可位于口腔的颊粘膜或任何其他区域,取决于主要的危险因素(如吸烟、饮酒和咀嚼烟草)。患者表现为各种白色、红斑、混合、结节或溃疡病变,可能导致不适、疼痛或舌头活动能力下降。该肿瘤是侵袭性的,具有局部侵袭和早期淋巴结转移的倾向。
