MDA-MB-435S是一种纺锤形的细胞,1976年由其亲本(435)中筛选得到。435是从31岁的转移性乳腺导管腺癌女性患者胸水中分离得到。 当用荧光染料对微管蛋白进行染色时亲本细胞显现散布特征(II型)。 最近通过cDNA阵列研究表明,亲本(MDA-MB-435)可归入黑素瘤起源。
